2025 Property Tax & Rent Rebates (deadline June 30, 2026)
Changes effective in 2023
First, the maximum standard rebate increased from $650 to $1,000.
Second, the income cap for both renters and homeowners was made equal and increased to $45,000 a year in 2023 (subject to annual inflation adjustments):
The income cap for homeowners increased from $35,000 to $45,000; the 2025 income cap is $48,110
The income cap for renters increased from $15,000 to $45,000; the 2025 income cap is $48,110
Third, the income caps will be tied to the cost-of-living moving forward, meaning those who receive a rebate won’t lose their eligibility in the future due to no fault of their own.
